Listening Challenge and I now swoon for Ninjas

Meanwhile... I'm also on a 100 day challenge to listen to new things. Widening my views. Challenging my ears.

New favorites:
Mystery of Iniquity by Lauren Hill -- so many words; its like slam poetry but elegant.
Eryka Badu's new video that is causing a stir because she strips down at Dealey Plaza and is eventually shot parallel to JFK's -- but was filmed in one take at 3:30 on a regular Saturday. If you haven't seen this yet, go to her site and click on the Ahnk. Her statements after the song, but still part of the video are spot on the pulse of art and culture. You need to see "Window Seat" for yourself: http://www.erykahbadu.com/
And all sorts of folks I've never heard but am grateful to have found on NPR's Global Cafe. I love music whose lyrics are not in English. Sezen Aksu from Istanbul; Iranian rock band; Pomplamoose duo; Ravi Shankar; and some classical arrangements with the Harpsichord...

And of course listening to radio stations from London and finding Professor Green using INXS' "I need you tonite" riff, and his cheap tawdry psuedo rapesque attempts at singing atop the music;
fluffy sugar pop of Ellie Goulding;
BRIT award winning emotional songs of James Morrison ++PIeces Don't Fit Anymore++ was added on my itunes (And James, ooodeloolly, really ought to be getting prime air time here in the states because I want John Mayer to disappear from the music scene);
so too I added the catchy tune 4ever from the Aussie twins The Veronicas, who have taken that pop number to chart topping success in 5 countries, but here in the states we're likely to never hear it;
ever heard of Booty Luv? No, really, that's their name. You'd definately know who they are if you are on the dance club floors for the last few years. "Say it" is now on my exercise tunage list. Good stuff!

In the luxurious because its free Pod Cast world I've also been trying to expand my horizons -- found a Steam Punk audio book in progress;
found a Museum's Tours podcast *super wow;
brushed up my foreign language by listening to simple converational German language lessons;
listened to some Science girls;
discovered MuppetCast and learned about PuppetUpUncensored (gasp!);
And now I can proudly tell you I have become one of the legions who enjoy the Ask A Ninja video pod cast (Oh too funny - I love the gestures and the deadly sharp hiiii-ya ninja wit, yes I have a new crush, and its this Ninja guy!! ((Swoon)).

I leave you with the Ninja. If you miss some of this because your ears can't adapt to the ninja verbals, feel free to play it again... and again. Its that good. And Ninja here taught me the term Twitterbomb in context. Kudos Ninja!
